Hey There
Hello! Welcome to my website. I created this as a sophomore in college hoping to create a place for my writing and to encourage myself to keep at it, despite all the school work. It has morphed and grown, just like me. I hope you can find something that makes you laugh, smile, or wonder.

About
Adversaria: a miscellaneous collection of notes, remarks, or selections. In a moment of bravery, I created this website at the age of 19 to convince myself that sharing my thoughts with the world isn't *the worst thing* in the world. Despite the breaks I may take from writing, and posting, I ultimately hope to share the bits and pieces I am comfortable with. This website is simultaneously a challenge for me and a ground for conversation on topics that interest me. I hope you find something that sparks your interest.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Psychology concentrating in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish. Despite the STEM focus, I was once told by a friend that I was "a humanities girl stuck in a stem-girl's body". From a young age I've loved art, dance, music, and literature. This is my little space for that.
You can find other published work I've written here:
-
An essay on food, memories, and Mediterranean restaurants and grocery shops in Miami in the 5th edition of Undrbelly, Miami's Alternative Food Magazine.
-
A sarcastic essay for the UF Honors magazine, Prism.
-
A poem for the UF Honors Magazine, Prism.
You can find me cooking and baking over on my Instagram @agyemek.
Thank you for dropping by.
